Our next event is Wed. Aug 20th at 6 p.m. at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Mesa Laboratory.
Dr. Sue Ellen Haupt is the keynote speaker.

Dr. Haupt will give a short presentation about NCAR activities related to wind energy, and a short tour of the building.

Dr. Haupt is Director of the Weather Systems and Assessment Program of the Research Applications Laboratory of NCAR.    She is an expert in renewable energy, boundary layer meteorology, and artificial intelligence methods. Her specialty is in applying novel numerical techniques to problems in the environmental sciences in both basic and applied research.  She enjoys teaching and mentoring graduate students as well as developing and directing research programs and projects.  Dr. Haupt is currently directing research on wind energy forecasting and solar forecasting at NCAR.
Dr. Haupt is active in the American Meteorological Society, a member of the American Geophysical Union, Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Engineering Education, and is currently co-editing Weather Matters for Energy; and has authored over 250 book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports.
