American Meteorological Society Congressional Science Fellowship

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) Congressional Science Fellowship makes it possible for one scientist to spend a full year in the U.S. Congress working on science policy issues. (S)he will also be a member of the AAAS Science and Technology Fellows program, which includes over 30 Congressional fellows from other professional societies and more than 150 executive branch fellows. The fellowship term is from September 1 to August 31.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in the atmospheric or related sciences, be a member of AMS (or applying), be a U.S. citizen, and be comfortable working with people from a diverse professional backgrounds and under demanding deadlines. Federal employees are not eligible.
