From the webpage: “The Congressional Science Fellowship Program is unique opportunity for [Soil Science] Society members with an interest in working at the intersection of science and government. For almost 30 years, a graduate student member has been selected to spend one year in Washington D.C. applying his/her professional and scientific expertise as a special assistant on the staff of a member of Congress or Congressional committee.” “The Congressional Science Fellowship is a joint program of the Soil Science Society of America, American Society of Agronomy, and Crop Science Society of America.” The SSSA Congressional Science Fellowship is associated with the AAAS Fellows Program.
